FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE NEW YORK, JANUARY 19, 2010 PorColombia announces that the Colombian Student Association of University of Florida (COLSA) has joined our organization becoming our 10th official chapter and Florida's first. With this new branch, PorColombia expands its presence in the East Coast and finally sets a permanent branch in the Sunshine state. The University of Florida (UF) is a major, public, comprehensive, land-grant, research university. The state's oldest, largest and most comprehensive university, UF is among the nation's most academically diverse public universities. UF has a long history of established programs in international education, research and service. It is one of only 17 public, land-grant universities that belongs to the Association of American Universities. PorColombia continues to grow as chartered in its strategic development plan. The organization is now a larger and more resourceful network through the continued incorporation of new chapters in universities with varied academic fields and student population.
